Who makes and sends the medicine?

The name of the care service may be different from the pharmacy name. Ask which pharmacy prepares the medicine and which pharmacy sends it. Keep both answers if they differ.

A package from another state still needs a check

A pharmacy based outside Minnesota must hold a Minnesota pharmacy licence to send prescriptions to residents here, as checked October 1, 2026. It also needs the licence or registration required in its home state.

Get the name before the medicine is sent, then use the Minnesota pharmacy board’s licence search. Check the name on the package against that answer.

The federal agency overseeing drugs, the FDA, notes that online-care patients may be unaware of who actually made their medicine. Asking for the pharmacy name closes that gap.

Know how to reach a pharmacist

As of October 1, 2026, a pharmacy outside Minnesota serving residents here must provide a toll-free line to a pharmacist and put that number on the medicine label.

Ask whom to contact about the label, storage, or a package that does not match what was discussed. The person treating you and the pharmacist answer different parts of the care question.

Storage depends on the actual product

Peptides do not share a single storage rule. Some products need refrigeration and others use room-temperature storage; follow the product information and pharmacy instructions.

GLP-1 names a group of medicines used in weight and blood sugar care. Keep the exact medicine name beside that group name.

For GLP-1 shots, follow the medicine’s own refrigeration instructions. The FDA advises against using a shot received warm or shipped without enough refrigeration. Room-temperature storage allowed after delivery does not settle whether shipping was safe.

If the medicine is warm, the ice packs have melted, or you are unsure it stayed at the required temperature, contact the pharmacy before using it. Ask the pharmacist to check the shipping and storage instructions for your exact product.

Keep the source in reach

Before you move on

Keep a pharmacy name you can verify and a way to reach its pharmacist. Match the label to the medicine you discussed.
